Training Details for 3rd Internal Training

Hi Cadets!
Thank you for attending the 2nd Combined Ceremonial Rehearsal last Saturday! In view of the good performance from the Parade, the Parade and Ceremony Committee has decided to cancel next week's CCR.
However, we have planned an additional half-day session to ramp up your personal drills and to also have some fun and games together as a family!
Here are the details for the training:
Date: 29th May 2010, Saturday
Reporting Time: 1230hs (Please have your lunch before reporting)
Dismissal Time: 1800hs
Attire: Mufti w/ Boots
Venue: Haw Par Hall (Level 2), Red Cross House
Bring Along:
Water Bottle (1.5L Coke or Ice Mountain labeled bottle)
Writing Materials
Personal Medication (if any)

Meanwhile, do take good care of yourselves as the weather has been really bad these days. Drink plenty of water, have sufficient rest and less late-nights, especially before trainings!

Training Details for the 2nd Combined Ceremonial Rehearsal

Dear Cadets,

Thanks for attending the 1st Combined Ceremonial Rehearsal last Saturday. The overall comment given by the Parade & Ceremony Committee for drill standard was good.



The 2nd Combined Ceremonial Rehearsal will commence this coming Saturday, on the 22nd of May.

Because of poor attendance, all participants are required to turn up earlier to Haw Par Hall at 8am, for an extra training in the late morning.


The administrative instructions are as follows:-

Reporting Details:-
Date: 22nd May 2010, Saturday
Time: 8.00am (Please consume your breakfast before reporting)
Venue: Haw Par Hall (Level 2), Red Cross House (15 Penang Lane, Singapore 238486)
Nearest MRT Station: Dhoby Ghaut MRT Station
Attire: Full Uniform w/ Beret and Boots

Projected Dismissal Time: 7.30pm
Dismissal Venue: Haw Par Hall (Level 2), Red Cross House (Cadets will not be allowed to be dismissed at any other venue)

Things to Bring:-
-Water Bottle (1.5L Coke Bottle Labeled or 1.5L Ice Mountain Bottle Labeled)
-Writing Materials
-Personal Medication (if any)


Other Instructions:-
The night before the Rehearsal

- Have a good dinner
- Drink plenty of water
- Have at least 8 hours of sleep

On the day of the Rehearsal
- Have a good breakfast
- Drink plenty of water
- Relax and rest whenever possible
- Do not take part if not feeling well, inform the VIs

During the Rehearsal
- Do not be tensed or nervous; relax
- Wriggle your toes to improve blood circulation during the Parade

After the Rehearsal
- Drink plenty of water
- Have adequate rest


If you wish to change into your Full Uniform within the HQ premises, do come earlier properly dressed (in minimum School PE attire) as a high volume of traffic is expected. However, do not dirty the area or else this privilege will be removed for subsequent rehearsals.


Please do not change into your Full Uniform at public toilets such as the MRT stations and shopping centres as you will be inconveniencing others and inviting complaints.

Please be reminded that all participants are required to attend. Please let the VIs know via email, SMS or phone-call if you are not able to attend. Do inform all your NDP friends that the blog has been updated and urge them to visit. See you!

Hello Cadets!

Here are the details for next training.

Training Details for the 1st Combined Ceremonial Rehearsal

Dear Cadets,



The National Day Parade 2010's 1st Combined Ceremonial Rehearsal will commence this coming Saturday.

In view of the long break and absence from previous Marching Contingent Rehearsals due to exam break, the Parade and Ceremony Committee has arranged an additional training session in the late morning to help all of us catch up with the pace of the rehearsals.

Therefore, for this Saturday's training only, all participants are required to turn up earlier. Thereafter, training timings will return to normal. =]

The administrative instructions are as follows:-

Date: 15th May 2010, Saturday
Time: 8.00am (Please consume your breakfast before reporting)
Venue: Haw Par Hall (Level 2), Red Cross House (15 Penang Lane, Singapore 238486)

Attire: Full Uniform w/ Beret and Boots

Uniform Guidelines

Hello NDP Cadets!! ARE YOU THERE??

HAPPY WORLD RED CROSS DAY!!

How are exams so far? I hope you guys are managing well. =)
Can't wait for the next training right? I hope you guys and girls will continue to visit this blog regularly and get the most updated news here!! 
Upon request that the words on the uniform guidelines visual aids are too small, we have list out the most important things that you ought to be looking out for. Please take a look at it and take this 1 week to make amendments to your uniform.
Let it be the BEST OUT OF THE BEST standards you can achieve!!

Girls' Uniform
Please take note of your uniform from TOP to BOTTOM!!
  • Cap badge should be 1cm above the hem line of the beret. 
  • Beret should be worn just 2cm above your eyebrow
  • Hair should be bun up with bun net (if you have long hair) and hair net. Do remember ALL hair accessories should be BLACK in COLOUR. 
  • Rank Epaulette should be iron 1cm at both side (if there is excess material after unfolding your rank)
  • Uniform must be well ironed!
  • National Badges will be placed at the right side above your name tag3 badges per row. 
  • Name tag will be put on at the right side in between the first two buttons. 
  • IBS badge will be at the left side of your uniform. 4 badges per row
  • Buttons should be clean and polished. (Do change to new ones if they are already corroded.) 
  • White thin sock should be worn and folded at 2cm by 2cm
  • Boots should be clean and polished. (No need to be too shinny like a mirror, but be clean. Do change to a new pair of boots, if your boots are falling apart.)
  • Back View: There should be 2 well folded and distinguished lines at the back of your uniform. Be sure that the back of your uniform is well ironed!

Boys' Uniform
Please take note of your uniform from TOP to BOTTOM!!
  • Cap badge should be 1cm above the hem line of the beret.

  • Hair at the front should not been seen above your eyebrow. At the back of your hair should not touch the collar
  • Rank Epaulette should be iron 1cm at both side (if there is excess material after unfolding your rank)
  • Shirt should be tucked in at all times. 
  • Pants should be well ironed.  
  • National Badges will be placed at the right side above your name tag3 badges per row. 
  • Name tag will be put on at the right side above the pocket. 
  • IBS badge will be at the left side of your uniform. 4 badges per row
  • Buttons should be clean and polished (Do change to new ones if they are already corroded.) 
  • The ends of the Buckle pin should be facing the right side so that excess belt material on the belt end will be on your left side. (If you have any problems understanding, please get an instructor to clarify.)  
  • Belt end should be folded and tucked in the reverse direction when it is too long. (Ensure that is secure.) 
  • Black socks should be worn. (No ankle socks!)  
  • Boots should be clean and polished. (No need to be too shinny like a mirror, but be clean. Do change to a new pair of boots, if your boots are falling apart.)
All in all, a uniform should be always be in the TIP TOP CONDITION and WELL IRONED
