Training Details for the 1st Combined Ceremonial Rehearsal
Dear Cadets,
The National Day Parade 2010's 1st Combined Ceremonial Rehearsal will commence this coming Saturday.
In view of the long break and absence from previous Marching Contingent Rehearsals due to exam break, the Parade and Ceremony Committee has arranged an additional training session in the late morning to help all of us catch up with the pace of the rehearsals.
Therefore, for this Saturday's training only, all participants are required to turn up earlier. Thereafter, training timings will return to normal. =]
The administrative instructions are as follows:-
Reporting Details:-
Date: 15th May 2010, Saturday
Time: 8.00am (Please consume your breakfast before reporting)
Venue: Haw Par Hall (Level 2), Red Cross House (15 Penang Lane, Singapore 238486)
Nearest MRT Station: Dhoby Ghaut MRT Station
Attire: Full Uniform w/ Beret and Boots
Projected Dismissal Time: 7.30pm
Dismissal Venue: Haw Par Hall (Level 2), Red Cross House (Cadets will not be allowed to be dismissed at any other venue)
Things to Bring:-
-Water Bottle (1.5L recommended)
-Writing Materials
-Personal Medication (if any)
Other Instructions:-
The night before the Rehearsal
- Have a good dinner
- Drink plenty of water
- Have at least 8 hours of sleep
On the day of the Rehearsal
- Have a good breakfast
- Drink plenty of water
- Relax and rest whenever possible
- Do not take part if not feeling well, inform the VIs
During the Rehearsal
- Do not be tensed or nervous; relax
- Wriggle your toes to improve blood circulation during the Parade
After the Rehearsal
- Drink plenty of water
- Have adequate rest
If you wish to change into your Full Uniform within the HQ premises, do come earlier to do so as a high volume of traffic is expected. However, do not dirty the area or else this privilege will be removed for subsequent rehearsals.
If you are coming to change in HQ, do come properly dressed and minimum School PE attire. No home clothes, slippers, and untidy turnout. This is for the discipline, image and pride of our UG and what we stand for, so we hope that all of you would comply.
Do not change into your Full Uniform at public toilets such as the MRT stations and shopping centres as you will be inconveniencing others and inviting complaints.
Please be reminded that all participants are required to attend. Please let the VIs know via email, SMS or phone-call if you are not able to attend.
If you have any questions, feel free to tag on the tagboard or email us. We will get back to you as soon as possible.
Do inform all your NDP friends that the blog has been updated and urge them to visit. See you!
